BirgirPall - I Broke Assassins Creed IV: Black Flag
These guys seem to have mastered the art of find bizarre things in games.
I kind of like this. If games can help make people curb their user use of certain words I see that as a positive. Not that I’m against cursing, but I feel some people very heavily miss use them with little to no reason. Gets particularly annoying when people use ‘fuck’ as an alternative to ‘umm.’
Cursing with your XBONE in the room, that’s a technical.
Seriously Rovio. And people wonder why some gamers don’t like free to play.
Just finished the audiobook version of this and I rather liked it. An interesting mix of short stories with Santa as a central element. Mostly humorous, but has some rather straight part which still turn out to be pretty good. ‘Hilarious Black Santa’ is a chapter that, despite its title, takes a bit more of a straight approach, telling the story of one mans brief moment of fame being a sort of Santa figure for some less fortunate kids and how that fell apart. The story almost feels a bit plausible and has me kind of wanting a longer, more fleshed out version of this mans tale. Overall I found it rather good.
Possible Changes to Tumblr (Lets Get More Geeky)
I’ve decided to change things up a bit here. Sort of make a change of focus as to how I use and view Tumblr with the basic focus being that I want to do things that some would see to be more geeky/nerdy. Probably shouldn’t be all that much surprising as certain amount of what I do post comes from geek events like Supanova, Armageddon Expo, PAX Aus and Oz Comic Con, and I have done long post on these things, (particularly on or relating to games and gaming) and I find myself in a position at the moment where I want to post and discuss these things a bit more. I’m also possibly gonna start posting more small things here, stuff I probably would have previously just kept to Facebook, Twitter and/or Google+.
With summer finally starting and summer break coming up soon I should hopefully be able to get into my stockpile of Steam games and Blu-Rays/DVDs, and with that should come some level of posting review and discussion on them (I hope to use the new beta review system on Steam as well.) I’ve been toying with the idea of doing some stuff with YouTube and would quite like to get something going there, but I’m not to sure what to do other than that what I will most likely be doing is some form of me talking over game footage. The problems I’m having are pinning down exactly what to do, trying not to make lame jokes (I have recorded a bit of stuff already, but I’m not all that happy with the stuff I’ve recorded) and getting over the sound of my own voice which not to happy with as I feel I sounds very geeky, but that would probably be incredibly appropriate for videos on games. I don’t like discussing much of things I’m going to do as at times I don’t end up doing what I say I’m going to do, but part of me is really interested in using a YouTube and possibly other video services to do more stuff in relation to gaming.
Hopefully I should be to get some more stuff up here soon.
